Swagtron EB8 Electric Bike is the largest model in electric bicycles from the Swagtron manufacturer. It is full-size so it is oriented for the comfortable driving of an average adult and has characteristics that guide it to the all-terrain bicycle segment. Swagtron EB8 has 20″ wheels and fat off-road tires with very good performance when driving on off-road terrain. In addition to this, the suspension is very efficient to provide comfort and safety in the front, preventing Hand wrists turn damaged by prolonged use in adverse conditions. The rear suspension system is very well fulfilling its function and its implementation is highly appreciated when driving on stony ground.
It has a 350w motor that supplies the power to the rear wheel through a control knob located on the handlebar on the right side, where in addition to the throttle, the LED indicator that shows the battery charge level is also mounted. A gear selector Shimano (one of the most recognized bicycle components manufacturers) its located for driving without electric assistance, also the brakes control. The folding way is very convenient, the frame has a crank with a manual lock that allows you to fold comfortably same as the pedals. The handlebar is easily disassembled to accommodate at one side just like the seat. Which result, it occupies very little space and can be stored in a small space in your work or home.
The LED panel that shows the status of the battery is very easy to identify and we recommend you if you are going to make a long ride, make sure has a full charge before leaving. Remember that the Swagtron EB8 battery takes between 5 and 6 hours for a full charge. Also, its battery is removable for easy transport if you plan to travel or just store it in the back of your SUV.
With a top speed of almost 19 mph, ability to climb hills with a 25-degree incline, 21 miles of autonomy on a single charge and using only the accelerator, the Swagtron EB8 Electric Bicycle has the potential to become the ideal companion for your travels. Use it daily to work or just to enjoy going where ever you want to go, without having to worry about anything.
It’s important to note that the Shimano 7-speed transmission is extremely useful when driving a bicycle without electric assistance. Unlike those that only have one speed, the possibility to select gears provides better efficiency when you’re pedaling on different kinds of conditions: High torque for climbs or top speed to get the destination quickly.

My first impression was really good. Pretty great e-bike. Climbs uphill good enough with a little pedalling help. It feels well on street paved and off-road surfaces. Just one detail about handlebar mechanism, it’s necessary to use hex key to detach it (no folding mechanism)

My wife and I bought two of these great all-terrain e-bikes and we both love to ride them! They fold so easily, we fit both bikes into the back of our Volkswagen Tiguan SUV and still have room for luggage. We like to explore parks, trails as well as less-traveled urban backstreets and these gems are perfect for our needs. We equipped them both with seats with a tad more padding, but the stock seat was fine for me, since my regular commuter bike has a Brooks saddle and I am used to it. All in all, I recommend this great value in a basic off-road e-bike. Simple, efficient and foldable!
