This Electric Bike Swagtron EB7 Plus review will talk about the similarities and differences from the last model respect to the previous version. Certainly, the structure is very similar, the same type of frame, the structure of the front fork and the rear control arm as well as the folding handle. The structure has been manufactured with the same quality as its predecessor.
Both versions give you 350w electric motor and a 36v lithium battery. Practically give it the same power performance and driving behaviour against acceleration and recovery on slopes (up to 25 ° inclination). However, electronic management has improved performance and regarding this, it now has an additional 4 miles travel extension to the previous version, the Swagtron EB7 Elite (15.5 miles compared to the current 19 miles). Respect the top speed, it remains at 18.6 mph.

A question you may have at this point is: Why have a better pedalling system on a bicycle driven electrically? And the answer is very simple, a common useful method to extend the battery life is to reserve the use of the electric mode as much as possible, riding, if is necessary, only with the electrical assistance. Some times without any means of consumption of energy. In this situation, a change selector will make the task of saving energy be a more comfortable task. But, if you’re not considering to pedalling, always keeping the full electrical use, this option should be irrelevant. But having an extra comfortable method to ride, we considered is very important.
In addition, the 16 ”wheels, as in the previous version, give you an easy way to storage it once it has been folded. It fits very well in the trunk, it’s easy to transport somewhere in the office and additionally, it is not complicated to carry through stairs or to cross the doors holding it by the hands. On the other hand, the diameter of the wheels works very well on an electric bike. Is one of the characteristics of the Eb7 Plus and its predecessor model the Eb7 Elite, mainly if you’re thinking to the use within the city but, in terms of pedalling, reduce size wheels are less desirable, especially if the route is marked by long stretches of stony road.
In summary, the electric bike Swagtron EB7 Plus, in addition to some aesthetic design details, has two important features to differentiate from the previous model the Swagtron Eb7 Elite and has to do with the driving. The first of these is autonomy 15.5 miles compared to 19 miles of the current model, which is very important in terms of performance. The second improvement is no less important and is about the way you ride the electric bike in manual mode or with pedalling assistance. The update of a 7-Speed Shimano selector makes this labour more comfortable to perform compared to the previous model with a single change.
In that sense, if one of the disadvantages respect to the previous model, the Swagtron Eb7 Elite was regarding the autonomy or comfort of pedalling, in this new version of the Swagtron EB7 Plus, those objections have been resolved. As well consider the suspension system (not really efficient under hard conditions but very comfortably when you’re riding on the city) and the very well brakes performance from the predecessor model as a plus respect to the other same size models.
